A good generic overview, could use more technical detail and an update:
Combined with Citrix XenApp Platinum Edition Advanced Concepts: The Official Guide this book makes a good generic overview of how to deploy a new Citrix XenApp installation. Others have stated that it could delve into more technical detail, and that is true. It covers the corporate politics of an doing one of these projects, which is good because that's something that we all to often forget about in IT (and dooms projects to failure). Hi, I received this book with great expectation since it i stated as "The Official Guide". However, this is "The Official Guide" if you are planning to sell Citrix solution to your management or your client. It shares a little of technical inside info what I was expecting. So I recommend this book for sales people (internal or external), not to system administration guys who would expect some best practices while deploying these type of solutions ... Best, Damir

If you are looking for advanced techniques, this is not the book. If you are looking for what management wants to hear, this is the book. If you are a newb, this is the book.
