We were very impressed with this book. Storey's book has the information you need to know about all of the "unknown" things about chickens. We learned many things we had no idea even existed about raising our chickens. Everyone will benefit from this well written guide to raising your chickens.
I own a flock now!:
I started thinking about a coop and a flock last year, in 2008. I toured on the internet and checked many websites, during some months, and actually found a lot of interesting information. I needed to start from scratch, I was living in a city up to some years ago, I had no knowledge at all of chickens. I bought and read this book at the end of 2008. I was amazed by the quality and quantity of detailed information I found there. It was written for me and for my needs and my stupid basic questions.

Just what the beginer needs.:
I purchased this book after buying some chicks for my kids last Easter. After having the chicks for a few days and us all falling in love with them and their antics, I decided that I better learn some more about chickens so that we would be able to better care for them.
