Color on plugs are cool, but out dated names.
VCR, DVD, CD, are 3 of the 5 colors. I have none of those as standalone components in my setup..
Good Quality, Low Price.:
I didn't notice a big difference in quality, but it gives me piece of mind that I don't have my equipment just plugged into the wall. I saw this exact same product/model at RC Willey for $99.99. I paid a lot less than that at Amazon.
Noticable picture quality upgrade:
Having purchased my second Samsung HDTV from amazon, I decided to add surge protection. Price I got on this model was fantastic.
I first installed one on the new TV. The picture quality was better than on my other Samsung,which is a better model than the new one.
After adding the surge protector to the other TV, the difference that this model created regarding picture quality was hard to believe. I thought the picture on my 1080 was great before, now so much more sharper. Highly recommend this... more info

So far, this product does what it is supposed to do, although I haven't experienced any noticable increase in picture or sound quality. I like the "color coded and labeled" plugs to simplify unplugging the right thing. It has a nice long cord, and I like the fact that it comes with a short run of good quality coax cable included in the package.
