better than ever:
My dad was a master of the Weber kettle and it was the only grill I ever knew back home. When I moved into my house almost 26 years ago my parents bought me my own and this is the one I've just replaced--I'm passing it on to my son. The new Weber is better than ever. I love the flavor of the slightly smoked food and also the fact that I don't have to bother with gas and gas connections. I like the new ash removel system. Also the hinged grill for added coals for indirect cooking.
Great grill for the price:
We ordered this grill as our first grill - we recently moved out of the city to a more suburban place - anyway we love it. It's a great size, cleans up well, and works great. I highly recommend it.
Watch the focused heat.......:
Same amount of charcoal that I used on my Lodge Hibachi (which I still love, but now don't use) generates a much more intense focused heat. I guess it's because of the shape. The ash remover is a great feature and I use a wooden spoon to sweep out the ash into the receptacle. I am careful not to scratch the enamel because that would eventually be a rust spot.
