Mixed Feelings about the Grill Box:
I have mixed feelings about the Grill Box. It does cook good if you allow it to get hot but it seems cheaply built and the lid does not fit correctly (watch the guy in the first review video readjust the lid). After a few uses the black finish (Porcelain?) on the "Defuser" started to crack. Don't even think of putting wood chips under the grill as was suggested, even after soaking the chips in water by the time the grill was ready to cook on the wood chips started burning
Good for quick cooking...:
This is great for quick grilling for two to four people (maybe 6 but crowded).
Didn't put 5 stars because there are two things that I don't like:
1) it takes a lot to warm up.
2) if you don't use the lid it takes a while to cook. Other than that is very practical and an excellent complement for my single burner stove.
I recommend. Buy a grill thermometer, it's very useful with this grill (is like a disc that goes directly in the grill). Amazon as always delivered very... more info
Love it, with a few caveats:
This is a great grill. It turns any* camp chef stove into a grill. (* They don't recommend using it with any of their high-pressure burners. I asked.) And not just any grill, but a real grill that produces great flavor. I was a die-hard charcoal user, but this grill has won me over. The diffuser plate does indeed burn off drippings, and this combined with the nice iron grill surface makes food that's darn close to charcoal-cooked.
