Found Something More Precious Than Gold:
I always had an interest in buying a metal detector but like so many other things, the idea got back burnered. Then a couple of weeks ago I was gardening in my backyard when I looked down at my hands and to my dismay discovered that my wedding ring was missing. Now I had been digging for the better part of an hour and had no idea at what point in time it had fallen off. My frantic efforts to find it were to no avail. Very happy with this product:
We bought this metal detector for my 87 year-old grandfather. We needed something lightweight and simple to use, but that was still a good quality instrument. It works great and he absolutely loves it.
not good for buried small objects:
Will not pick up a coin or ring if it is buried more than 1/4" in the ground - it will pick up a soda can that is 6" deep. Not a good choice if you are looking for a lost ring, unless you are sure the ring is not buried at all. This would make a good toy for the kids.
Not a good buy:
Bought this for our pre-teen son for a present. The volume/sound went out within a month and the detector needle was overly sensitive. I don't recommend this product.
