Exploding Egg Cooker:
Add me to the list of those who had this thing explode in the microwave. Mine exploded just after the cooking time was complete & I opened the microwave door. Egg bits all over the kitchen. Dented in the ceiling of the microwave; I'm sure the microwave would have been destroyed had the door not been open.
I read & followed all instructions exactly. It worked fine for about 8 times over a 3-week period. Then this.
Buy this thing at your own risk.
A little advice:
When I got my egg cooker, it came with no instructions. Thanks to you folks commenting at Amazon, I was able to muddle through the first time even with a few apprehensions. You were right, the water line is difficult to see. What I did was carefully measure to the water line -- then poured the water out into a glass measuring cup. Now I always know how much water I need to add and don't have to keep struggling to read the water line. (Mine was 1.5 cups.) I found that I did not have to use hot... more info
Easy egg cooker:
My daughter eats lots of Tuna with hard boiled eggs. This is so easy and you do not have to drag all the pans out. It did take a few time using the cooker to find out how long to cook the egg. Now she just pops it in the microwave and walks away.
Great product. NOT made in China!:
Works really well. I followed enclosed instructions. 6 minutes in microwave yielded firm, moist, orange colored yolk, with the shell easy to peel. I don't like the pale yellow, dried up, crumbly egg yolk.
