ok detector for starters:
i have had this detector for a year now and found some pretty cool stuff. if i could go back a year i would have went to [...] and signed up to there forum and posted questions. theres alot of people on that page thats been doing this hobby for years and could help you find the right detector. the pin pointing on the machine sucks in my opinion but its strong point is finding coins. if your looking for relics i wouldnt recommend this machine

I wanted to write this review for the beginners of this hobby. Just like me you have probably compared lots of models with lots of different prices . You wonder if you spend to little will you be buying rubbish > I bought the Garret Ace 250 and it is superb for the Price . On my first outing I went beach hunting and found many old coins and other items .Of course if you spend $1000 or more you will get a better Metal detector but that holds true for anything you buy. Great unit.:
Haven't found the "big one" yet but it's fun looking. Simple, easy to use and the battery lasts forever. Works great in most areas, but not in the wet sand. Has found fishing lures, coins, a small gold ring and lots of other items. Will most definetly keep you busy.
Good product:
This product is good. Need more practice with it. It found a peice of copper pipe and an iron pipe under ground. No treasures yet.
