It's an over priced over sized fan: 
It doesn't do anything that my fan doesn't do. There is no air cooling. It just takes up space. Not thrilled with the customer service department. I've sent three emails now about returning the product. The first response I got didn't address my issue, and my second response looked like someone copied and pasted from their training manual. They even told me to contact them via email about making a return - as a response to me contacting them via email about making a return.

Evaporative cooler: 
I've had this cooler for about a week. It is very solid state. It has some drawbacks. All evaporative coolers need to be put in front of a window to draw in the hot air and be cooled through the water pad. This particular evaporative cooler, however, puts too much humidity into the room making it muggy. The other drawback is the filler spot is at floor level, so if you are elderly or have problems stooping, it may be a problem. I put mine on a table in front of a window, so it's not an issue. Nice portable cooler: 
This is a well constructed good working evaporative cooler. It holds lots of water and the water dissapears fairly quickly so I know its working. It is somewhat large but can be moved room to room easily. Much more efficient than an AC window air conditioner. It has 3 speeds that do either fan only or fan with water being pumped so it can be used like a box fan.
Works well for it's intended use:
This works well for its intended use. It is not an air conditioner, but it will cool off a room and help keep it cool through the night, which is what I needed it for. I use cold water I keep in bottles in the fridge, and tried adding ice cubes (which didn't seem to make much difference). I use a 1.25 liter seltzer water bottle, which has a long neck which helps when adding water so you don't spill.
