Nice Entry Level Scope - Worthless Tripod: This is about as good as it gets under $150. The 80mm objective is definitely an improvement over a 60mm objective. Brighter image and "larger" image throughout the zoom range. Any scope at any price should have an objective larger than the maximum zoom range. Even a $400 60mm scope will not have a usable magnification beyond about 45x. You get what you pay for: Amazingly, I managed to break the tripod within the first five minutes! Just forget it and buy a solid one, but the scope is worth the money, with a bright and fairly distortion-free image. The eyepoint is low though, and gets lower with higher magnification, so if you wear glasses you look through a tunnel. And remember that some spotting scopes cost 30 times as much.
