Fell apart in 4 months: 
My experience with this item is the same as the other negative review. I purchased this fireplace at Sears as well (I don't remember the manufacturer). I purchased it in April 2008 and by September 2008 the paint on it already was chipping off all the edges. By the following spring, it was falling apart in chunks! It was billed as an "all weather" item able to stand up to the elements, but it fell apart in three months. I cannot say with certainty that this is made by the same manufacturer as the one I...

This looks EXACTLY like the fireplace I purchased at Sears (I don't remember the manufacturer). I purchased it in April and by September it was falling apart in chunks! It first started as cracks and any kind of moisture made it swell so, when in dried up again it just crumbled. Sears was FANTASTIC about returning it and refunded my money even though I returned it in a pile of pieces! Do not buy this fireplace!

Item is great and looks beautiful! Very heavy so make sure you have help once it's delivered. The fireplace is everything and more as described and I was very pleased with the seller. This is well worth the price you will pay and will compliment any patio!
