Editorial Review:
Silkypix Developer Studio 3.0 is a rich RAW converter with unique adjustment tools for the professional grade photographer, including: noise reduction, fine color tuning, lens correction, white balance, and more. The distinctive conversion algorithm allows the software to produce the very best colors available. Silkypix sits apart from the rest! The conversion algorithm that was developed uniquely to Silkypix provides the best color renditions compared to other raw converters on the market. The program is "Smart" enough to help users get the best colors from their digital image files. The camera support that Silkypix provides is unmatched. Silkypix works closely with many camera manufacturers adding nearly instant support for new cameras that are released. Users never have to worry when their camera files will be recognized with our software. Silkypix recognizes noise problems with photos on the spot. Silkypix naturally applies automatic noise reduction, reducing the amount of steps that are taken to edit pictures. With noise reduction tools, users can always maintain control of their pictures. The use of batch photo processing is a must for the avid photographer. The ability to process multiple photographs in a fast and simple to use layout will save photographers many hours behind the computer editing photos in old single file fashion. Silkypix offers various color correction tools which allows users to be ultra-precise when it comes to attaining the best colors. From fine exposure control, to the useful white/grey/skin balancing tools, the program allows unlimited flexibilitity. A forum is introduced online (www.silkypixforum.com) to exchange information about Silkypix in the photographic community, which includes a lot of helpful "insights" how to utilize the complete toolbox of Silkpix to it's fullest potential and create your own silky smooth images.

The color shifts are most noticable on sunsets and portraits. It is really time consuming to be... more info

I haven't used this version.. yet. I bought a Panosonic camera in the past that came with a 2.o version. At first RAW was a mystery to me, I couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about until I used Silkypix. Using my computer for a digital dark room is a real joy now. Shooting in RAW gives you the ability to manipulate all kinds of things like noise removal, color corrections etc. I tend to forget to check my horizon and end up with photos that are slightly off angle. This software lets you... more info
