Pros: This air conditioner does have a lot of power and will cool a large area.
Cons: Produces a large amount of water. The manual does not explain how to empty the water collection tank.
The unit will stop dead in its tracks once it fills with water. I called Whynter to ask for directions, but they were not very helpful.
They suggested buying a drain hose which I tried, but it did not work. I ended up elevating the unit tilted just slightly so that the

Not good for very humid weather: 
I ordered this unit thinking it was what I wanted for my upstairs bedroom because I wouldn't have to give up one of the two windows and then could move it to the extra room while sewing. I live in MA and it worked fine the end of June, beginning of July. It cooled the room in no time at all. We then had a cold spell and didn't use it til August when it became brutally humid. I got a dud:
It blows hot air. I will be returning it but it's going to be interesting trying to do so as i live on the third floor and this thing is 80lbs! looking at another reviewer i can't afford another dud i wish there was some way they could guarantee no duds or just come and pick the darn thing up
Good Air Conditioner: 
Great unit, I bought it to cool off the upstairs hallway and bathroom. It actually cools off the whole second floor of my home which keeps the downstairs cooler. Most portables have to be emptied everyday but this unit doesnt need to be emptied for at least a week (I know hard to believe).
