This is the best grill I have ever owned. Only two drawbacks in my opinion. The first is the price and the second is that Weber does not manufacture a rotisserie for this unit. I called Weber about a rotisserie kit and I was told that Weber has no current plans to manufacture a rotisserie for this grill. I told the rep I would return the grill in a month if no rotisserie was offered. Don't tell Weber but the only way they can have this grill back is if they pry it from my cold dead hands.
a better choice:
First of all, I'm a loyal Weber fan and have owned numerous models over the better part of 40 years. I consider them the best of the "backyard BBQ grills", so no hate mail please, but let's keep it in perspective. For the same amount of $$$ you can get two Gold one touch 22.5" and have more combined cooking space, not to mention the flexibility of setting one up for indirect and another for direct grilling, OR set up one as a smoker and another as a straight grill, OR set up one for steaks and the other for... more info
Get an extra pair of charcoal holder baskets:
I am very happy with my 26.75 one touch gold. It can accommodate grilling lots of food or a large food item. 1. Out of the box: It was easy to assemble overall. I don't consider myself handy with tools or assembling things, so that's saying something. The toughest part for me was getting those legs all the way in. Just be patient, make sure one hand is on the wheel, grip firmly and push steadily. Also try slightly changing the angle of the direction of force if its still not going in. It's a big Weber Kettle Charcoal grill. By definition five stars in my book. Over the years I've had two 22" Weber Kettles. Got rid of the original cuz the dog would eat the ash out of the tray and get sick :-) So I went for a 22" OneTouch Gold. Several years later I acquired a charcoal smoker mostly for the larger cooking surface. So I gave my OneTouch to my little brother (mistake).
